GEL, ACRYLIC AND ACRYGEL are all 3 materials for reconstruction and coverage but have different characteristics in texture, application and final yield.
All three materials, once dried, must be filed, sealed and shaped. One is chosen over the other according to personal taste, habit and the type of nail one has (shape, porosity etc).
GEL
First by invention, it is a material already composed of a single product. It spreads and self-levels and dries in a lamp.
It is the most flexible and elastic of all.
ACRYLIC
Second by invention, it is a material composed of 2 products, a powder (polymer) and a liquid (monomer). The compound is formed and spread on the nail by adding and wetting the product so that it has the right consistency, which requires a lot of manual skill and experience. It dries in the air. It is the hardest and least flexible product of all.
ACRYGEL
Last to be invented, it is a one-part material that is applied by wetting the brush with its solvent. It is applied on the nail by tapping with the wet brush and dries in the lamp. It is the product in between the other two, it has some of the flexibility of gel but also some of the strength of acrylic.
