The thought of opening a business right in the centre of Florence has always been a great dream in the drawer, and since we were born and raised in this city, we have chosen to represent and pay homage to it in the best possible way.

Florence, the ancient city famous the world over for its glorious Renaissance period, is so dear to us also thanks to the typical craftsmen and artisans who hand down their knowledge and skills from generation to generation.

We started from the idea of the classic Florentine bottega and indeed Papaya is a space wonderfully imbued with history, art and culture, right in the centre of Florence.

Our workshop is furnished in such a way as to make you feel at home with a mix of antique and contemporary pieces of art that serve as a bridge to new craftsmen.

After all, the care for beauty has always belonged to us and it is no coincidence that 'The traveller's malaise before the greatness of art', also known as Stendhal's syndrome, was born in Florence.
